MED2IaH Project Holds Key Events
The MEDiterranean countries: Towards Internationalisation at Home project consortium held 2 key events this month in Fes, Morocco within the context of EMUNI University’s Annual Conference.
MED2IaH is primarily designed to have an impact at system level and trigger reform processes at national level in Mediterranean Partner Countries (PC). By developing policies that adequately address real problems at institutional level in each PC, MED2IaH will ultimately benefit the whole HE sector.
From 15-16 September, the MED2IaH project meeting saw all partners discuss MED2IaH progress. On 16 September, the Moroccan partners organised the MED2IaH national conference for Morocco, which was the 3rd panel of the EMUNI Annual Conference.
The events also facilitated the signing of an agreement of cooperation between Philadelphia University, Jordan, and Pegaso Online University, Italy, both of whom are in the MED2IaH consortium and members of the EMUNI network inner circle.

MED2IaH Launching Conference: Challenges for internationalization: online education without social distance
The MED2IaH Launching Conference is organized back-to-back with PIC International conference. The conference follows an interdisciplinary approach, focusing mainly on the topics of education, e-learning, law, business, the economy, social inclusion and sustainable development. 2020 PIC aims to encourage discussion about topics related to Education and Digital Society. It also challenges the topics of multicultural societies from the aspects of economy and coexistence, especially in the EuroMed region. The rationale for the conference is based on the assumption that digital technologies act as a relevant factor in education, quality of life and economic prosperity, especially in the context of COVID-19 pandemics.
The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) is taking part in 2020 PIC event:
- The EMUNI President, Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid El Zoheiry, is a moderator on the Panel: Advanced Medical Knowledge, Practice and Associated Technologies: More Benefits and Less Harm.
- Dr Nada Trunk Širca, who is a Professor at EMUNI, presents the EMUNI Project: “MEDiterranean countries: Towards Internationalisation at Home – MED2IaH” and gives the welcome words on the MED2IaH Panel: Challenges for internationalisation: online education without social distance, where prof. dr. Karim Moustaghfir from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Marocco is a moderator.

What is #ErasmusDays?
#ErasmusDays consists of a series of events organised all over Europe and beyond. This year, it falls on the 30th anniversary of Erasmus+.
The purpose is to bring together Erasmus beneficiaries, alumni and other European participants over three days, during which we will explore European values, the benefits of mobility, and Erasmus+ projects results.
In 2019, 3995 events were held across 53 countries for the #ErasmusDays by various Erasmus+ programme players.
How to participate
In previous editions of #ErasmusDays, events organised included seminars, partner meetings, photo exhibitions, concerts, radio shows, conferences and digital activities.
This year, #ErasmusDays 2020 will mostly consist of online events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These can be online conferences and webinars, online quizzes, video testimonials, live events, podcasts, or others.
